At Athens Seventh-day Adventist Church we hope to provide a home for all who come. We understand that each path is different and that all stories have value as a ministry for God. Because of this we seek to find ways to reach each person that comes through out doors. Whether you are a college student, young family, retiree, or anybody else it is our hope to provide a ministry to serve your needs.

Here are our current ministries that function both during our worship services and at other times during the week:

  • Audio/Visual
  • Collegiate/Young Adults
  • Communications
    • We keep the community informed through our weekly worship bulletin, our website, and our newsletter that's emailed each week. Sign up here for the newsletter.

    • We also share food baskets with families in need especially around holiday times such as Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Sabbath School: Our Sabbath School classes range from infants to adult. Classes start at 10am but you are welcome to come anytime after 9:30am to meet and enjoy fellowship with fellow believers.

The following classes take place on Saturday mornings at 10am and can be found in the duplex to the left of the parking lot:

Cradleroll/Beginners 0-3:

Parents and their children gather here each Sabbath for a fun hands-on class where they form the foundations of their walk with Jesus. Enjoy songs, crafts, and snacks with this awesome class

Kindergarden/Primary 4-8:

School aged children will enjoy the opportunity to meet, do crafts, sing songs, and learn Bible lessons. The focus here is on Jesus and His love for us and how it can work in our lives.

The following class meets in the church:

Adult: This is your traditional class found in the large classroom down the hall. We study the Adult Sabbath School Quarterly, if you don't have a copy feel free to download one (free!) on any smartphone from the App store. If you prefer a paper copy we typically have a few available, ask the greeter or a deacon and they'll be happy to help.
