We Are Hosting a Learning Hub
Online learning begins this Tuesday for all our Clarke County public school students. We, will currently host no more than seven (7) students each day in our Friendship Center.
Here's our calendar.
Would you like to volunteer as a supervisor? Click here.
Here's a description of what we're offering.
TIMES OF OPERATION:
-Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday (this may change a bit and we will let you know)
at 429 Epps Bridge Parkway
Athens, GA 30606
WE WILL PROVIDE:
-Daily temperature checks (students will NOT be allowed on site if they have a temperature of 99.5 degrees Fahrenheit or higher)
-Adult supervisors on site (background checked)
-Tables spaced apart for optimal physical distancing
-Ventilation—fans blowing, doors and windows open
-Breakfast and lunch through CCSD
-Daily disinfecting throughout the day and after
WE WILL REQUIRE FROM FAMILIES:
-*Masks and physical distancing
-Indoor shoes that remain in the Friendship Center each day.
-Outdoor shoes that the students will change out of when they arrive and will wear whenever they go back outside.
-Headphones for each child that connect to their device
-Regular hand washing
-Students must be full potty trained
-Parents bring all supplies that school has given for student's instruction
WE ARE NOT:
A licensed daycare or after school care program
A drop in space—all must register and come consistently
No transportation provided. It’s not guaranteed that a teacher will be on site to provide instruction. Your student must come with a tablet or laptop of their own. Our supervisors will do their best to make sure each student is safe and on task.
*Mask wearing for young children can be difficult for long periods of time--but we will gently enforce it. When a child is at his/her table, they’ll be able to take mask breaks. Masks won’t be required when distanced outside. Masks will be required if any indoor group work takes place.
